Our Story

HCM is a new church seeking to love the campus and community in Madison. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is an enormous campus with over 40,000 students in an urban city filled with many working professionals. It is our hope to partner alongside the many existing ministries in order to love, serve, and impact Madison.

The vision of HCM is as follows: "We exist to offer the hope of the gospel as we gather, grow, and go as workers for the harvest in Madison and beyond." The heart of this vision comes from John 4:35 when Jesus says, "I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." Jesus is urging the disciples to have discerning eyes that see and understand the opportunity that is before them as the Samaritans are gleaming with a desire to know the hope of the gospel.

We as a church meet weekly to hear and study God's word, to pray, and to fellowship with each other. We believe that the body of Christ, the church, is the means by which God expands the kingdom and brings hope to world.
